Hello Everyone and welcome to the first Parent Council Information Evening.

We hope you will find it interesting and useful.

In the classrooms there are a variety of subjects for you to discover. We have the new reading schemes, various ICT programmes and activities, Active Learning, Critical Skills, A Curriculum for Excellence and AifL. Don't know what these mean? Come and see.

We are also demonstrating how to comment on our Parents' Blog. We want to hear your comments.

Feel free to look at the materials on show, try some out and ask questions. That is why we are here.

For the recent school photographs we used a new company. I am trying to find out your thoughts on the results.
Are you happy with the results?
Did you like the different poses and the selection?
Do you have other suggestions for the future eg siblings and individuals?
Should we use them again?

Parent Evaluation

In our 'two stars and a wish' evaluation, which was sent out to all parents, some commented that they would like more communication between home and school about their child's progress.

There are a number of ways in which we already communicate such as, reports, parent evenings, news letters, class letters, website and our open door policy which is regularly used. These are our suggestions and we would like to hear some of your ideas as to how we could better communicate and work together to make these improvements.
